If Chelsea hold their nerve and keep him, you'd imagine he is going to be very successful. It's just if, he gets the time. They really don't look great at the moment but he deserves to at least have two windows, you'd imagine. |  |

He needs to do what Arteta's done at Arsenal i.e. spend 2 or 3 windows getting rid of the expensive unmotivated poorly-performing dross even if it costs a lot to do so and build the team up again with a core of good young players which shouldn't be beyond him or them but unfortunately (for Potter) it seems like they'll continue pay over the odds for any talent they fear they'll miss out on if they don't splash the cash immediately.
