It will hopefully be beneficial on Monday at Cheltenham that we were able to rest the entire front 4 on 68mims yesterday.
And Ladapo, Jackson, Harness and Edwards came on looking fired up and focussed
I thought Edwards and Harness looked particularly switched on.
I think Harness’ recent cameos have been a bit wobbly with his touch looking a little off. But he glided around very nicely in his 20mins and played a couple of sweet balls forward.
Edwards was even better, sometimes he struggles to get into games as sub, but he caused some mayhem and Wycombe must have hated the introduction of such pace and running. Capped it off with a great run into the box and along the byline, culminating in a stonewall penalty, for Freddie to coolly finish.
Think with Broadhead getting knocks and a lot attention from defenders, having a sharp bench is very important. And I do think Edwards will play a part in the remaining games, if (and it’s a big IF) Town struggle in a game to break an opposition team down. [Post edited 8 Apr 2023 9:25]
