Vale last night came with a very clear game plan and executed it as well as possible, fortunately the defenders arm helped us massively at a time when i was questioning if it was gonna be another frustrating evening. My goodness though the amount of time they wasted was unbelievable and the ref did nothing to stop it, weakest ref ive seen for a while. That being said instead of adding 6 mins on they shoulda said 'right vale your losing add 1 min stoppage time as punishment for wasting that time and give them minimal hope of getting back in the game |  | | |  |

I think we've seen a lot worse time wasting this season and previously (Wycombe). If we were in Vale's position would we be not doing the same? Not sure why fans get worked up over this - it's game management and doing what you need to do based on your circumstances. We just had to carry on playing as we were technically better than them and we came through it.
Ref also i don't think was the worse we've had here in a while - albeit he needed 2 strikes of the arm to give us the pen! [Post edited 19 Apr 2023 8:01]

As you say it's game management but honestly felt like an eternity every time they had a throw in, goal kick etc other teams havnt seemed as bad when taking throw ins etc at one point it looked like 4 ot 4 vale players were surrounding the ref and he let that go, perhaps it was something of nothing but players shouldnt surround a ref like that | | | |
