Before the last few weeks I would have said Barnsley like a shot. There was a great amount of goodwill engendered in 2000, when their fans conducted themselves fantastically. It was a great example of how fans can coexist and be passionate about their teams without any nonsense.
However, there was some surprising ill will from more than merely isolated Barnsley fans the other day, which dismayed me. I'm not sure that Wednesday fans have done anything particularly different from that. Given that I don't have any particular affiliation to any team potentially in the playoffs, and given that I have total confidence in Town next season, I'm not bothered who else gets promoted. |  |
