TowenTV on 22:06 - May 17 with 3022 views | BigCommon | I'm under the assumption, that if a Town fan lived in Australia, for instance. They will be able to access games live, at any ko time. Otherwise, the marketing potential would be very limited.... But we'll have to wait and see.
TowenTV on 22:13 - May 17 with 2975 views | Illinoisblue | There will be no IFollow for Town fans. Assume Town TV will just pick up the away team’s feed.

Living in Cyprus I currently get every iFollow channel as part of my TV package including various club channels. Really not sure how this will effect me as presumably even if I don't have TownTV I will still be able to watch the "away" channel. Obviously I would prefer to pay ITFC and have the additional content but at present unsure how this will work.

Like you say, you'll most likely be able to watch the away club's ifollow feed, with the exception of those going solo (Bristol City, for example). Can you get RobinsTV?

According to Robins TV, these is what was available in the season just ended. In line with supporters’ return to stadia and EFL regulations, eligibility groups for live video streaming have changed. Non-televised Saturday 3pm KOs + Friday/Sunday games — Outside UK and Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man only Non-televised midweek games — Worldwide Bank Holiday and displaced weekend fixtures (i.e games moved from Saturday 3pm to midweek) for non-TV purposes will be streamed to a domestic audience at the discretion of the home club. These will be advertised accordingly as we go through the season. Televised games — Not Available Audio Commentary — Available worldwide If there is not a pay-per-view match pass available in your territory for the game that you want to watch, then it is not available. Additionally, there is no season card holder access to streaming. [Post edited 18 May 2023 9:06]

Those games not available on Robins TV would presumably not have been available on the other club's I-Follow. A VPN indicates that an annual video pass for Robins TV for last season, which is still showing as available, would have cost £170. But that cost will not cover televised games. Last season, Norwich and West Brom, to take a couple of examples, each had 15 televised games.

Derby away on iFollow this season , was using Rams TV , so you had their pundits upto kick off , at half time , then also after game analysis, I assume that’s how it will be with ours ?

It's the same game criteria as ifollow, except no mention of individual competitions (either FA or league cup matches aren't shown on ifollow, I forget which). I was more interested if he's got private club channels as part of his TV package, like RobinsTV / MUTV / AFTV. Sounds a lot like an IPTV scenario in the mainstream in Cyprus. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Sorry, I realise I wasn't necessarily addressing your point but it was a tag to indicate that there will be far few games available on Town TV, now we are in the Championship, than would have been the case if we were in Division 1.

Wonder if a club has the power to refuse fixtures to be moved for tv purposes because of e.g town tv coverage

Highly doubt it. Plus I think there's an appearance fee for being on Sky over and above the shared deal which would probably outweigh any earnings through ifollow or the like.

Looking at Robins TV, last season it was £25 a month or £170 a season, but presumably you do not need to buy a monthly pass in the close season.
TowenTV on 14:42 - May 20 with 1627 views | Sawtrich | It occurred to me that this quote from Ashton could be taken in more than one way. TownTV's really important to a club like this because we do have a large overseas following and that's their view to the club Is this a nudge nudge, wink wink statement on VPNs? With a home sellout or close likely for every game at Portman Rd next season surely selling passes to 'foreign' viewers is an extra income for the club that doesn't really have a down side? It also helps keep people not at the game involved and engaged.
