Chances of signing Hirst. 18:40 - May 28 with 1062 views

I’m assuming that Leicester’s confirmed relegation reduces our chances of signing George Hirst but I’m sure Ashton has some alternatives in mind if it doesn’t happen.

Hirst wages presumably are now more affordable for us and, as someone who has never scored a championship goal he is unlikely to be someone they see as spearheading their attempt to get promoted.

Not sure how much difference it'll make. Will Vardy retire, or the two young strikers want to leave? Would Leicester want to rely on a young striker with only a few Championship games (and no goals) under his belt? Would we?

I think the answer to that last question may be yes. He has talent and nous, plus is already integrated into the team and club. But it's quite possible we would be looking for someone even better.
