Because half of the joy of getting to a playoff final is a chance to play at the home of football. It is absolutely right that the playoff finals should be at Wembley, and I doubt if you asked many of the fans of the clubs involved many would disagree. I completely get, and agree with, the argument that FA cup semi finals shouldn’t be played at Wembley, but playoff finals absolutely should IMO.

Playoff finals are about a day out at Wembley aren't they.

I'd be fuming if it got moved no matter how far I was going.

Plus arrangements, policing, merch etc much of that is already in motion, that's a lot to pivot at short notice
