The UK have had a part to play in a lot of this (Syria, Afghanistan and Palestine mainly) but of course we insist on picking up little of the collateral damage.

But that's an enormous amount of turbulence and upheaval in regions and the neighbouring countries that have to deal with it. The worrying thing is that figure could go up to 1 billion people as climate refugees start to become more and more a factor. So if people think this is awful, destabilising and heart-breaking enough now ...
