5 observations from Saturdays game. No. 1 Sam Morsy 12:34 - Aug 29 with 1034 views | Lion | He was the best player on the pitch, especially 1st half and I don't say that lightly with the obvious quality that Leeds had out there, we are so lucky to have him and if anything he is even better this year than he was last year. Those people slating him for picking up bookings, come on, look where he plays and how committed he is, he is the best captain we have had since Matty Holland and he gives absolutely everything. No 2. I knew that Leif was good, becoming more and more important and providing so many quality chances and assists. He is the best left back we have had since Arron Cresswell and did you see the ball he played in for Wes first half from the left wing that Wes should have shot instantly he had it under control. It was literally inch perfect that he played on the run, bending it around 2 defenders, De Bruyne would have been proud of it, it was that good. I'm not surprised if premier teams are looking at him, Leeds must be kicking themselves they let him go, he has to be worth 15 million quid minimum and our most expensive asset. No 3. Im not slagging our own fans or bigging myself and the fans who stayed to applaud the team off, as they deserved. Perhaps it is just modern football, but it really made me wince to see how many of our fans were starting to leave with 10 minutes still to go. Yeah with a full house it is a carve up to get out of the ground after the game, and maybe some people had to go early, but I haven't seen them doing that the last 23 games when we've been winning, and i just hated it... No 4. I love all our squad, not meaning to dig someone out just because we lost and he did make some good saves, but hladky was at fault for the second and third goals and i just dont think Walton would have made those mistakes. He is also a little lucky that he didnt concede more from spilling the ball right out to their players. How long is Christian out for, if Slicker plays well again tonight will we see him in goal Saturday? No 5. I was quite confident before the game that we COULD get a result but less so when KM said Hurst and Burgess had knocks. It does show that we need to get in some quality in, under a week to go in the transfer market. I thought that KM was quite bullish and clever saying that he wants 2 or 3 in before the window shuts keeping the pressure on MA and his team to deliver that and perhaps the result and the quality we were up against will help to reaffirm that he is right to demand that. Without misunderstanding just how difficult it will be, here's hoping we get in a striker, winger and centre half of quality.

5 observations from Saturdays game. No. 1 Sam Morsy on 12:57 - Aug 29 with 873 views | thebooks | It felt it was Morsy v Leeds at one point. Never hides. Davis is great, but struggled with Burgess to defend Leeds' right side. Crowd was a bit odd. It was loud, but I didn't feel we believed we could get back in it. Yeah, quite a few leaving before the end, which I can understand if we're losing 3-0 at home to Morecambe and sitting 13th in League one (even then...) Hladky was OK, but spilled the ball badly for goal 3. I thought Davis was most at fault for goal 2. Burgess really struggled, but then maybe Leeds were targetting that inside right position. Couple of signings would be great 🤷♀️

I hope it was down to that and it makes me feel a bit better. The squad give absolutely everything for the shirt - they are as far away from Grant Leadbitter as they can be - and I hope our fanbase are not that fickle.
