I’m sure our resident Lexiteer will view this as more Orwellian surveillance. In reality it’s what they voted for. It’s a deal that likely wouldn’t have even been possible pre-Brexit, as any unjustified harvesting of data would likely fall foul of GDPR. |  | | |

My view is that there are a lot of scare stories around NHS data.
This from the Open Democracy article sounds sensible, as I'd rather a hospital in, say, Manchester have access to my medical records.
"The £480m contract to provide software joining up patient data between different NHS trusts is set to be announced imminently. The project, known as the “federated data platform”, is NHS England’s latest attempt to consolidate patient data into a centralised system."
And of course there will clearly be built into the system adequate safeguards so that harvesting data won't be possible.
