He started as a left back/wing back but drifted into the middle playing just behind the front line.

Seemed to be wasted there, where it was already congested and the game seemed to be crying out for a bit of extra width on the left hand side,

There was no option on the overlap on that side at all. Grealish always wants to come inside, as did Lewis. Didn't really work.

Yep, it just squeezed play into the middle where there was no room at all.
