4th poor performance in 5 games.

Disclaimer.

KM and players themselves accepted prior to Swansea game that performances were not good.

This was the worst however.

Probably on par with the Bristol rovers game.

Lose games of football yes. But that was dire.

Its now about the next two home matches. Learn from it and bounce back.

First away defeat since January and first match without a goal since February. Not to our standards today but not a time to panic.

You are correct , but we need to trust the process , those behind the scenes have probably already got the additions we need in Jan , and have known our true weaknesses for some time .
Mean We need to keep digging our results especially at home until reinforcements arrive ……keep the faith and enjoy .

In fariness, fourth poor performance in five. Would you say those have been perhaps midtable performances more than anything (bar tonight)? And wouldn't most of us have accepted a midtable finish in August?

Oh 100%

But what are we here for if sat in 2nd and not to think about what is needed to maintain it..

If we go into every game thinking oh well didn't expect to be here, then what's the point.

I guess it's about perspective though. As much as I love the playing squad, they've been playing well above themselves, and part of this is probably returning to the mean.

If we're to maintain this form we need to strengthen the squad in January.

Imo you don't lose perspective just because you're hoping a certain level of performance continues.

If the opposition plays well and stays organised, then you will always look a bit below par.. I'm not buying this "we were sh1t" narrative.. We came up against a really good side with a good manager, that have more resources and a bit more Championship savvy than us.. People just can't expect us to roll up and play beyond ourselves, every week.
With Leeds and Southampton dropping points at bottom four clubs this weekend. The weekend hasn't been a disaster. I was hoping for a draw tonight and assumed that Leeds and Southampton would win their games. So, for me, we are a point better off, in terms of the buffer.
Wipe our mouths of this one, and get a reaction at our two up and coming home games.
Corberan got it spot on tonight. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat and move on..

Of course we hope a certain leevl of performance to continue. Whether it's possible is another matter.

Of course and we will find out.

But what I find odd is KM talks of town big club. Big history etc. To many posters on here apparently everyone should act like plucky little plymouth fans and be grateful for any point we get no matter how we get it.

. We are 2nd. Let's run towards adversity and get our performances back up to keep us there.
