I'm not convinced we're going to stuff the squad with Prem Youths on loan. They do, after all, count towards the registered player numbers limit, despite being U21, plus not conforming to the "long-term development" concept much talked about at Town. Neither (being loans) will they provide the squad continuity if we do get promoted which has been so valuable this time.
Sure, Hutchinson has done very well and Williams not badly (which may well be inspiring some of these links), but Scarlett has not really broken through. However carefully you select them, untried Youths are always a risk. |  |

I think that if we do loan one or two youngsters it will be on the basis that we are likely to be able to loan them again at a higher level next season or with a view to buying at the end of the loan. I think Williams had that clause (although those in the know appear to think he is going back in January anyway) and Scarlett and Hutchinson would be ones we might loan again. | |
