We're at the stage of the season now where we're all going to be watching the results of our rivals, in the hope they slip up and us take advantage. For all the 'one game at a time' mantras, and not worrying about other results all season, with 8 games to go it becomes harder not to worry about what other teams do.
So What do we reckon from today's fixtures?
Bristol City v Leicester
Southampton v Middlesborough
Blackburn v Us
Watford v Leeds
Finding it hard to see Leeds dropping points at Watford, but Bristol can be tricky opponents on their day, likewise Middlesborough. Also have the fact that an international break sometimes leads to teams not quite hitting their stride after the break.
I'll go for Leeds win, Leicester draw, Southampton win. We'll win too, obviously. |  |

Yep, that time of the season now. Suddenly every result seems so important.
I'll go for:
Bristol beating Leicester
Saints draw with Boro
Town win
Leeds win
Probably a bit optimistic but I think Leicester are under huge pressure now. Away, early kick off, presumably quite a few of their squad involved in international games, financial fair play court case hanging over club.
Hopefully the knowledge they could slip outside the top two today weighs heavily on them.

Bristol, Boro and Watford all seem to be teams that, in classic Championship style, you're never quite sure which version of them you're going to get. Now we're truly in the business end of the season I've got that slightly sick feeling of thinking every match we go into is going to be incredibly tough and we'll do really well to get a win, which is a bit irrational I know.
Bristol did Southampton in at home and Leeds had to work really hard to eke out a 1-0 there so have some hope they can stop Leicester taking 3 points. Will go for a draw. Think Southampton will have too much for Boro - interesting to see though how they react to not having played for ages, either will be a bit rusty or raring to go. Hopefully the former but still think they'll win. Similarly think Leeds will have too much for Watford but can see that game being a bit chaotic - 4-2 to Leeds or something similar. Thinking rationally reckon we could be in for a game like Plymouth away - hard work for the most part but eventually we'll break them down and come away with the win. |  |
