ITFC is the project all managers talk of, 15:29 - May 21 with 1020 views | FromReuserWithLove | wish and dream for. The owners, infrastructure, everything. It's all in place for McKenna to build something in his own vision from the construction of the playing surface, the design of a new stand to the colour of the tiles in a multi-million pound new training complex. This is a flipping dream scenario you'd have to be flipping mad to turn that up for another side a little further down that journey. McKenna is a generational manager who will leave one day for a super-club, not Brighton. But if he does decide it's time for pastures new, WHAT a job for someone else. We as fans are tarnished by the years of scraping by, but those days are gone. We are the target for those bright young things to create their own exciting legacy. Stay calm friends, whilst there may be bumps in the road, this club is only going from strength to strength. [Post edited 21 May 2024 16:16]

ITFC is the project all managers talk of, on 18:07 - May 21 with 783 views | Churchman | Spot on. This is what I’ve tried to say but been unable to find the words. The last four sentences are exactly where we are. Specifically, I was musing over those clubs above us a couple of years ago. Norwich with their parachute payments, great facilities and community stuff on our patch. Sunderland - big football club, newly promoted, young team. Coventry reborn, Luton on the rise, Watford stuffed with parachute money, Burnley plus goodness knows how many more. How many years were we behind them? All in the rear view mirror for now. Norwich: not a pot to hiss in. We are not in the days of Mick having to magic a team together with nothing, LON shoving a broom up his rear end to sweep the floor and a tree growing out of the roof. Ok, Ashton likes his bullsheet bingo and uses the word relentless a lot. But three years evidence tells me it’s true. The ownership and senior management are. It’s a brilliant opportunity for McKenna right here, right now or somebody else if he decides to go. The only risk is appointing the right person to fit what the club is doing and what it now is, not us begging any old Billy Bob to take the job. I hope and don’t think it’ll come to that but if it does, I’m sure succession planning is in place because that is the way the club is now. | | | |
