To be fair there’s a lot of merit in what he’s saying, I completely agree with most of it. McKenna is our biggest asset by some distance, signing him was the most important thing we could do this summer and our approach to recruitment is spot on so far.

We’ve got some real quality in our squad, we’re supremely fit, athletic, tactically aware, street wise. Personally I’m not convinced Morsy & Luongo is a premier league midfield, you only have to look at games like Leeds and Southampton to see how the needle moved in the middle against opposition of premier league quality in players like Downes & Ampadu. I think that’ll be a target area to strengthen over the next month though.
