Without naming names, this time last year there were a few I thought would disappear in January. They proved me wrong.
The team that starts the season will unlikely be the one that ends it. No matter how the season pans out I imagine quite a player turnover over the next 12-18 months. We'll also have to get used to the big player sale trading (hence the early business being about players with potential). |  |

Totally agree. Wasn't a moan. Muric, Johnson, Axel?, Greaves, Davis, Phillips, Napoli fella, Morsy, Hutchinson, Szmodics, Delap/new CF? Imagine that is how we will end the season. What a transformation in one season. Hard on all those who got us here and I have always said that they deserve their chance, which they will get in the first 2 games at least, but we haven't brought these guys in to not play. Harsh, but survival is vital. Bench options looks very healthy now though. Walton, Slicker, Woolfy, Burgess, Clarke, Townsend, Luongo, Taylor, Chaplin, Burns, Broadhead, Harness, Hirst. ( Edmundson?/Burgess?/Al-Hamadi/Humphreys) Likely to be sold or loaned.

Also starting is no longer the be all and end all given the number of subs you can make. Particularly with us and particularly with our front 4. It's just as important and just as prestigious to come on for the last thirty minutes and finish off the opposition!
I also think Burns starts most games for us with his specific role and his physical attributes. Not against the tougher teams perhaps, but against the likes of West Ham downwards. |  |
