While we are inbetween games and mulling around I thought I would look up KMcK's first season with us in the Football Yearbook.
Having done that one's attention naturally goes to the Budgies for the same season.
Wow. I had not realised they were so bad.
Their first games in the PL were as ours i.e.home to Liverpool and away to Citeh which they lost 0-3 and 0-5 respectivly.
They lost the first 6 then drew two 0-0. November. Their first 10 brought them 2 points and a 3-25 goal difference.
Their first win came in November.
They finally broke out of the bottom 3 for a game in January and then went on a run of 16 games where they had 1 win, 3 draws and 12 defeats.
If you ignore Pukki their next highest scorers were Sargent and own goals on 2 each.
Of course I am sure that I was far too much interested in what we were doing at the time with the take over by Game Changer and our new manager to pay much attention.
But I now can understand why they want us to fail so badly. In truth we would have to be awful to match their performance.
