Pragmatism- McKenna explains his Prem approach 23:30 - Sep 28 with 1377 viewsMVBlue

As I had figured out, our clever manager is adapting our play so that we 'find our style' in the Premiership, in this Sky interview. The dogged defending and pressing as a team as in first half of Liverpool the very first match, where he explains in the second half it was more as individuals as the pace changed. This video is a must watch to Kieran explaining our current approach, and to me how patient we need to be.

Virtually everybody has said that we need to give the players time to adapt to the PL. I have always said that KM also needs that time. This is still his first managerial job and he is learning on the the job to. It was always going to be a learning process and the good folk of Ipswich need to remember that. If we don't survive this season, it won't be because we didn't try hard enough, didn't have the right players etc. it will be because it all happened to soon for our players and manager to adapt to what is the toughest league in the world. I still think come the second half of the season, we will be good enough, it's just whether we are still in touch with the others by then. (which I think we will be)
Defensively we have improved and I don't think any of them look out of place in the PL. I think our midfield could still benefit from an extra body in there, at the expense of one up top. More of a 4-3-3 if you like.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.
