Braintree at Rochdale today 15:16 - Sep 28 with 1199 views | Illinoisblue | Only 3 and a bit years since we were playing there. Are Braintree bankrolled by a benfactor? Can’t be a lot of money in the national league, surely.

Freddie Sears scored the odd goal for them in that run in. They were a bit muscular, a Chelmsford fan I know reckoned they were the most physical side he had seen, he probably did use the term physical! I think they will struggle and will do well to stay in that league.
Braintree at Rochdale today on 18:36 - Sep 28 with 946 views | ITFCMonk | Lee Harding has owned the club since 2003 I believe. We’ve managed to get to National League on a number of seasons since 2011 (were a league below National South when Harding came in I think). So he’s managed to build the club slowly without being renowned for throwing a lot of money at it really. That said, the past several years have resulted in being a bit of a yo-yo club between the National & the South (also included a couple of potential relegations from the South during the Covid hit seasons). To be honest it’s all a bit tinpot at the moment and a lot of fans think it’s time for a change of ownership (bit like Evans here really but without being someone known for having loads of money & has actually brought some success). There’s been issues with paying for kits this season (apparently wore a 3rd different kit of the season today!). Harding has also managed to slowly scrap the club from having any academy or reserves sides the past few years (also tried to relocate it to Witham at one point for a few years). We also haven’t managed to name a full bench all season. Honestly think we will be relegated again this season. Angelo Harrop has pretty much performed miracles over the past couple of seasons since he’s been here (bit like the Cowleys & Alan Devonshire years), but we don’t look good enough even after stepping up from 2 training evenings a week to 3 mornings.

My son n mates went up on the supporters coach yesterday! Looking at their results they have a good defensive line up only letting in 13 ( top 6 standard) Strike force is weak! Son recons we could be still playing now without scoring!
