West Ham game 10:50 - Nov 3 with 1489 viewsWickets

I posted after the above game that I wasn't keen to see Hutch Burns and Jack Clarke on the pitch together , as they are just a bit lightweight at this level, well I don't thi k I would have had Burns and Clarke on the pitch yesterday when leading and down to 10 men , Townsend Woolf and Mass still on the bench ! Not sure !!

Sort of agree. We were clearly still trying to go for a second goal, however after the sending off it made those substitutions ineffective. Had we gone down to ten minutes earlier then the subs would have been totally different.

I did see Woolf take his top off, Townsend warning up with a little more purpose at 80 minutes and I thought the defensive troops were about to come on. No, we brought on Burns and Clarke.

It did look like Davies was carrying a knock of one sort or another and as much as he did have a good game, and his goal was spectacular, their wide man went passed him with ease on a few occasions. This was one on one so we can't just brush it under the carpet with down to 10 men. I am not having a pop at Davies at all. Just wondered about the substitution decisions?

May be the consistent habit of changing the front 3 or 4 every game needs a little more thought on occasion.

In McKenna's defence he brought on Clarke before the sending off. It was a like for like change and Szmodics' race was probably run and he wasn't offering loads. At that point we were tentatively looking to score a second goal and see it out.

Burns was a natural change but he was sadly not very good. I didn't expect him to look lightweight in this league but he has so far.

Poll: Pick a goal to win the derby in stoppage time...

Agreed but as you say down to 20 and with one lightweight player on why bring another one on ? As much as I like and respect KM I simply dont understand it .

What non lightweight options did we have to play out wide/no.10?

We're a lightweight squad. It's one of our main weaknesses and it was always a worry going into the season. We see Cajuste as someone who will bridge the physical gap somewhat and even he isn't exactly a powerhouse.

As we were down to 10 did we need a player out wide ,as I have previously said look at the option over Burns sitting g on the bench . Personally one of Townsend Woolf or Mass in front of the back line was the way to go for the last 10 minutes or so . But its OK to disagree we all see it differently.
