Crypto sponsors 13:14 - Jan 12 with 1175 views | Zx1988 | Some coin called $WEN have managed to get sleeve and hoardings sponsorships at Tamworth today. A relatively-unknown currency with a value of $0.00007535. Screams 'pump and dump', surely? Stuff like this desperately needs proper regulation. Even the 'Floki' stuff at PR seems a bit shady.

The sad thing is that the lies of Tamworth are probably seen as an easy target. Offer them £5k for the sleeve badge, and they'll probably snap your hand off with no due-diligence, because the three-person back-office team is probably far too busy with everything else that today's match needs.

Oh, no doubt. Just hope they cash the cheque quickly! I just can’t comprehend how more people aren’t investing in this stuff when the pitch is so good, so enticing. Wen (WEN) is a Solana-based meme coin centered around the concept of fractional Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). It represents a novel approach to meme coins by incorporating fractional ownership of NFTs. Each WEN token is a piece of the pie, representing a slice of the viral poem "A Love Letter to Wen Bros," which celebrates the enthusiasm of "wen bros" in the crypto community. The project aims to promote positivity and inclusivity within the Solana ecosystem.

The key word out there is meme. These types of coins are classic pump and dump candidates, they offer very little utility and can easily be abused If you know about the Hawk Tuah lass then she's found herself in a bit of bother about doing this. If people are serious about investing in Crypto then you really need to do research into what you're actually investing in. For the record I've been in and out of crypto since 2016 and man it's getting murkier out there as a wider audience offers up more susceptible targets.
