To VAR or not to VAR 17:07 - Jan 12 with 650 views | wkj | I think many would agree that VAR would have chalked off Taylors goal today, but elsewhere there were a lot of talking points about VAR. Arsenal vs Man U is going to be worth watching back by the sounds of it as a number of people seemed to actually be lamenting the lack of VAR. Personally, I like VAR as a concept but the way it gets utilised leaves me baffled quite often. That said, certainly didn't miss it today at PR.

That is exactly my issue with it. I still think the way that Football moves - VAR should be like tennis, someone the analyst team will prompt the manager that a decision looks suspicious and the manager will decide whether or not to challenge a decision. The exception here being automated VAR triggers for offside and goal line technology alerts. Each team has a finite number of challenges per half. That said, we'd only realistically see teams able to challenge decisions than end up with the ball becoming dead - so, maybe not a great idea. Either way, it still seems really inconsistent in how/when it is used.

To VAR or not to VAR on 17:24 - Jan 12 with 482 views | lazyblue | I think we need VAR in the game as without this week too many big mistakes have been made, imagine Taylor’s goal if it was against us not being chalked off. Still prefer correct decision even if it does take two minutes to get to the right outcome.
