TWTD Recommendations/Suggestions - Pond plants and fish 09:43 - Mar 8 with 428 viewsDubtractor

Anyone got any recommendations for places in Suffolk for pond plants, fish, or general pond stuff?

I know Maidenhead Aquatics in Woodbridge, but not much else.

Swallows is better, they have one in Colchester and one in East Harling. https://www.swallowaquatics.co.uk/

Not sure about what will be available to buy though as it's a bit early!

If I pass an aquatic centre I might pop in and I must admit to be absolutely taken aback by the prices of fish and plants these days.

I would consider mail order for plants https://www.lincsplants.com/

If you wait until they start showing in a month or so I might have some lillys I could cut you, I also have a load of this https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/56047/myriophyllum-aquaticum/details which is frowned upon but forms a lovely layer on the surface. Need another month before it will be showing enough to transport.

Cheers, will check Swallows out.

Yeah, appreciate it's a bit early still, but trying to work out where to get stuff in a month or so.

I think my dad has a lily lined up for me (that he originally had from me!), but could be interested in that other stuff. Could be useful in my wildlife pond as good habitat for bugs and newts etc.
