England Women 4-1 Outright at Euros 21:41 - Jun 26 with 934 viewsSimonBatfordITFC

Whilst placing my £20 wager on Omari to join Brentford (following insider tip) I noticed that bookies are offering 4-1 for England Women to win the Euros. Surely that’s worth a punt!

There is no way Hutchinson had a market on Ladbrokes. Anyone walking into a shop and asking for a price is not getting 4/1 either.

His release clause is £35m but someone on Twitter said he's valued at £11m so why would they pay more?

I'll be gutted if we sell him for less than £19m. That's his true value as everyone knows

Is it really so hard for people who don't like women's football to just scroll on?

I'm so tired of the incessent need for people to state their disinterest in the women's game.

Why not just post a picture of you waving your willy?

Sorry, what?

As an "aside" the OP mentioned that he placed a bet on Omari, and the main gist of the thread was that England Lionesses are 4-1.

Virtually no responses are about the odds for England Women's odds for success at the Euros.

I really don't care that some people don't have an interest in Women's football, but what bugs me is that people add comments that avoid the subject of discussion.

As someone who tried to play pro ladies football in the 90s when everything was piled against us, it just tweaks a nerve. Sorry if I have overreacted to an innocent post.

Yep, massive overreaction IMO.

Nobody has said they don’t like womens football at all, nor made any sort of comment. Looking for something that isn’t there.

Two parts to the OP, the latter is the one that’s been reacted to, that’s all.

You've lost it on this one.

Lets be honest, on an ITFC forum, more people are going to pick up on his claim that he has insider info (no matter how doubtful) on Ipswichs best player leaving the club.

I accept your opinion if I have over-reacted, but I see so many posts on the forum about ITFC women or England Lionesses punctuated by people who feel the need to tell the forum that they don't watch/dislike/mock the quality of women's football and subsequently derailing threads where people who ACTUALLY do enjoy women's football can't just get on and contribute to a thread. It does grate a bit.

The thread on the stadium move the other day seemed very supportive of the ITFC womens team.

Your frustration is understandable - what you describe happens far too often. I think you just took it out on the wrong thread.

The post starts with a comment about Omari.

If two points are made, one not related to ITFC and one about ITFC's best player its easy to see why people pick up on the ITFC related comment.

Its OK to respond about one comment and not the other.

It's much more critical about the quality of football skills or attendance and investment, etc, than the stadium.

ITFC ladies have been fabulously supported at Felixstowe and Walton, and I'm sure will continue to be so at Colchester.
