Not that we should fear or be scared by anybody, I really wish we had them first up next week.

No club deserves this.. Not even the sister botherers from up the road.

Their Owner holding out and not giving new owners a chance to buy players and save the club is only devaluing the club more, a vicious circle it seems. Will he still want £100m when they are all but relegated by Xmas?

It's never nice to see a football club like that because it will mean a hell of a lot to a lot of people. There's not only the players but the staff as well that you have to feel for. Unfortunately a totally egotistical lunatic of an owner has seemingly sent them into a death spiral.

It certainly seemed from our last meetings with them that they have more than their fair share of dickheads in their supporter base, but the majority of them will just be like you and I wanting their club to be ok. Things aren't looking good, unfortunately.

Do feel sorry for them, it’s a proper football club with a (mostly) proper fanbase with a proper ground (albeit needs some attention)

Proper.

(They’ve got a few dîckheads in their ranks as does every club, all that missile throwing shîte, they were cocky little cu*nts in that League 1 season but soon shut up…)

Don't like to see this happen to any club really, it's an absolute state. Hopefully a football regulator might have sufficient teeth to prevent stuff like this from happening, at the moment rogue owners can effectively kill a club and nothing can be done about it.

That said, part of me is looking forward to seeing if we can better our 6-0 against them at Portman Road.

It would be hypocritical after the moans and groans of the Evans era to now exult over SheffWeds fans' plight. We only had the merest hint of what they now seem to be facing.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

And not forgetting the last time we played them away when leaving after the match they were targeting a group of our fans walking down the road which I witnessed first hand which stuck in my throat more than most with me living in the City. As you say we’ve all got out elements but living in Sheffield it seems to me Weds have far more than their fair share…more so than the Blunts fans do anyway

Yes I do feel sorry for them but I really don’t like their fanbase (sweeping statement)

I feel sorry for Wednesday, but I would laugh my socks off if that should happen to the sister botherers up the road.

Yeah okay, maybe it could happen to them.. After we take 6 points off them this season though - otherwise they'd still be shouting about XX years unbeaten from down in the conference.

The management situation there has been a strange one for a few weeks. The assistant manager has been overseeing what's left of the team during pre-season, while Rohl has been lingering in the background as Chansiri hoped to receive compensation for him, which never arrived, ultimately leading to his sacking.

Wednesday also missed out on signing Callum Paterson, who instead chose to join MK Dons.

F**k em.

The way they (a good couple of hundred of them) attacked our fans after the game at Hillsbrough a couple of years ago was utterly vile. Unprovoked attacking fans of all ages in the middle of the street anyone with Ipswich colours on.

Hope they get liquidated

Agree. A proper club with a terrific fanbase. They deserve better. Yes they have their selection of knuckle draggers, but so does every club including this one.

I dont feel for the club or the knuckle draggers.
I do feel for their ordinary supporters even though most of the are going to be Yorkshire folk.
But then I am also sorry for the Morecambe supporters.

But is that not a part of football generally. Some have success, some failure. We know what failure is like. Not to this depth perhaps, but deep enough to be distressing.
Without the depths how can we appriciate the highs of success.

Thank goodness it's not us.

Hirst scores again. Sheffield who?

They have a fair share of morons in their fanbase but having previously lived in South Yorks for 10 years and have good friends that are Wednesday; I've been to a fair few games and the majority are, of course, great supporters that seem to face their challenges as a club with good humour (like Man City fans used to before the sportwashing cash arrived!).

So much for fit & proper person tests!

I feel for them. Shouldn't happen to club like that.

The only exception to this for Nodge.

How on earth that man can ask for 100m for them is beyond me

I feel I should feel sorry for them, but I genuinely don't. They have a really nasty fan base (admit its not all but there is a large number) and its pretty obvious they dont have much respect for us, how they have treated us in the past (throwing things at the Lino, beating up fans, moaning when Wes reported their player act). I'd have much more sympathy for other clubs (except that lot up the road) but I am genuinely looking forward to a record victory against them this season then their inevitable relegation.

Rohl and our ex-player Thompson have gone - hopefully to a club that is better run and they can thrive. Chances of Barry Bannan taking over as caretaker - no one else will want him

I never like to see this happening to any club, especially a proper old club like Wednesday.

The fans don't pick the owner and watching this unfold always makes me wince at how close we might have got to this under Evans "leadership".

Even if it happened to Norwich, I would eventually feel sorry for them, after a few years of non league football....

The stand is now officially closed. What a hit show at that club.
