I can't wait for a few of the guys to score their first goals this season.

Two tough games but within some chances that in their previous champ campaigns the players who had those chances imo would have scored with a bit more composure.

Last week we had sammys chance against brum which went wide. He had time to take another touch before placing the ball into the back of the net. Hirst yesterday another touch would have taken him closer to the goal again for a nice placed finish.

Chappers has had a couple of efforts which were bread and butter chapper chances. Both taken quickly but swiping at the ball and connecting badly with the ball.

1 shot on target in both fixtures is a bad stat but we are getting into shooting positions at least.. when those goals do start going in I think we'll start to see some floodgates open.

Fully agree. We definitely don't have our shooting boots on yet. Two goals in the opening two games one a penalty the other an OG.

For all that we had the better of the chances yesterday and dominated the second half we didn't really work their goalkeeper. The only save I can recall him making was from Hirsts soft shot

There are goals in the squad though, we know Hirst, Chaplin and Skpom can hit the back of the net so it will come. Still feel we need another goalscorer to come in.

"Confidence" is key..... It'll come.
As you rightly say. Two very tough games so far. Where chances have been minimal...
Players not fully up to speed just yet, for all teams in the division.
