But very little when it goes right.

Soi let's start with the solitary negative. The only down side was United did find it easy to get through us at times, and more clincial finishing will see us punished. Hopefully we'll tighten up moving forward.

HOWEVER. Davis and Jaden down the left were sublime. The international break must have done them a world of good. Hirst was brilliant tonight and deserved his goal. Me, and everyone around me in SBR, thought it was handball in the build up and apparently not? I loved the look of Nunez when he came on. He could make a huge difference as we head into the heart of the season. Lovely that Egeli got time on the pitch, and him and Akpom should improve further with more game time.

But the key was the relationships. Rather than talented individuals, we looked like a team again. Hats off to the work done on the practice pitch over the international break because it certainly made a difference.

And I've decided I like Friday 8pm kick offs. Not just because of the win. But what a way to head into the weekend.

Super team performance after HT. First half we were second to the ball and they didnt let us settle. Hirst was poor first half.
Second half we came out snapping at thier heals as they had done ours inthe first. a quick goal and confidence surged - not least to Hirst.
Furlong impressed me at LB - just quietly did his stuff.
I thought Mati was very, very good all game.

Subs were all good when they came on.

edit - and I nearly forgot about Leif being back to his best. Absolute lung busting runs down the left. Superb.
