Don't suppose it's a crazy cost but seems a little unnecessary. Do they stay over afterwards too? Maybe it's always happened and I'm being dim.

On this note, does anyone know how a footballer's routine looks? I'd love to know Town's weekly schedule, i.e how many hours they train, when they travel to away games, the routine for a home match. Anyone have the inside def info?

Maybe they were just having a pre match meal? Would make more sense.

Nah. They all walked from the lifts ( that lead upto the bedrooms) so definitely stayed.

When we played Cambridge away last time, our players stayed in a hotel overnight..

Yeah, I guess it's standard stuff for pretty much every away game now. Settled routine and more control etc. Certain matches in isolation do seem rather unnecessary though.

Does seem a bit odd for a night game where the trip is only 2 hours? As you say, i don't know the routines but it seems mad that a level 3 team would be blowing money on an unnecessary hotel.
