| Can we avoid sickness? 13:36 - Dec 11 with 995 views | RIPbobby | I noticed that the blades had 8 players out because of a sickness bug on Tuesday and wondered what clubs do to try and avoid this now. We had a big of an issue with this 2 seasons ago. I seem to remember we drew at home 0-0 (QPR?) who were being battered by everyone then. We have a much bigger squad now and we have done ok with injuries and suspensions so far. I just wondered if anybody knows how teams try and avoid a bugg in the camp? | | | | |
| Can we avoid sickness? on 17:08 - Dec 11 with 838 views | _CliveBaker_ | Pretty much impossible to avoid, especially due to the nature of professional sporting environments with physical contact, travelling together to games, pre match huddles and hairdryer treatments in changing rooms. Food safety is a practical one, if players are going to get ill at least make sure its not the shits from dodgy food in the canteen, and don't share water bottles or clothing where possible. Through Covid I think there were 2 player coaches going to games so everyone got a bit more space and more distancing. And the classic Football Manager thing of having to send a player home if they show signs of being ill so as not to infect others. | | | |

There's definitely supposed to be a bad flu strain around right now but as you say, doubt we can do much about it apart from the obvious.

Tell me about it, had it nine days now, missed two matches. So far.

Add my regular commuting into central London and my wife being a primary teacher, our household is probably ground zero for most illnesses. I'll stay away
