I’m so pleased for Burns. The players were mobbing him when he scored and the fans too were chuffed. Taylor showing us his name on the back of his shirt said it all. When Wes saluted us at the end on his own. Goosebumps.

I dunno if that’s our best away performance , but that away end. Superb. Coventry on the other hand were full of entitlement. The fact we were signing to a third full stadium in injury the said it all. Can’t blame them, but they’re such a steamroller of a team. Trying to outplay us left them with nothing. And they rely on taking their chances from scrapping in and around the box.

Azon ran himself ragged and being direct over his shoulder is so much more effective. Not just for him but the whole team. Less is definitely more. Hopefully they realise how much better they are than Coventry after tonight. Even with a crowd howling for everything they couldn’t get an advantage at any point.

Egeli looked like he’s still got a lot to learn off the ball but Nunez was key in keeping us moving and defending from the front. Apart from a couple of loose passes early on Taylor looked like he was well up for it today too. But Kipre was motm for me by miles. Monstrous.

A nice drive back to Suffolk now. I’ve got my sat nav and am checking it twice.
