Is totally out of proportion. It would have been great to sign a striker who MIGHT have scored loads of goals, with assists to match, but they are as rare as rocking horse sh*t. We have an excellent squad which still misfires on occasion.

I hate the play-offs but if that’s where we end up I will feel more confident than I did in previous years.

I'm of the opinion that we could get autos, but in my view it literally all depends on where we are come 1st March.

But 0 confidence we could actually win the playoffs if we ended up there instead

Why do you think our chances of direct promotion will "literally depend on where we are come 1st March"?

We have just 5 league matches before the 1st March, but 17 until the end of the season. What is it about the next 5 matches that might make the next 12 irrelevant?

Obviously it all depends on how those 5 go hence why 1st march will give me more of an idea of where i think we could finish

having a great month and results go our way too and we're right up there and i'll feel confident we we've sorted away form to go inline with home and ill have no doubts of our ability to see the season through

but 1st march obviously likewise could end up being a mile off top two but also further behind hull who have 4 home games on the spin.

Obviously a lot of ifs,, but that's exactly why for me alone, i'll have more of a feeling either way after this month. It's a big month

So, how many points below the automatic promotion places will we need to be on March 1st for you to give up hope of automatic promotion?

Completely agree. We literally have/had the golden boot winners from previous seasons. Up to the manager to get a tune out of them.

Difficult one to answer as we don;t know how the others do let alone ourselves this month

But if I had to pick a number it would be something like 10 points.

Yes I know they'd still be alot of games and points remaining but I think that would be quite difficult to catch up to at that point.

Obviously all personal opinion and Im hoping we're sitting pretty in the top two in a few weeks time :)

” Obviously it all depends on how those 5 go hence why 1st march will give me more of an idea of where i think we could finish”

So, what your saying is that the closer we are to the end of the season, with fewer games to play, the easier it is to predict where we’ll finish.

Yes, which was in reply to a question asked of me, I hope that's ok.

True, proper goalscorers aren't exactly hanging off trees waiting to picked. But if there wasn't one out there who could improve on the record of our current ones at a sensible price, then there must be a desperate world shortage of them. We have 3 forwards ( not strikers, they don't ) who between them when starting the last 11 games have 1 goal between them and in the last 18 games when starting have 2 goals between them. That's abysmal, no matter what system you play.

And yet we are second top scorers
