Brentford/Thiago 23:22 - Jun 13 with 1425 viewsZx1988

Imagine telling a Brentford fan back in 2008 that, within 20 years, they'd have Brazil's starting striker at a World Cup.

I imagine they'd probably have wondered what calamity had befallen the first ten Brazilian XIs.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

The rest of the world are asking the same question. No disrespect to Brentford but this it the worst Brazilian attacking lineup in my lifetime (47 years)

I'm amazed Joao Pedro isn't even part of their squad

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

Thought the same. Gives those currently in the lower leagues incredible hope.

The kind of thing where if it had happened twenty years into my Championship Manager game I would have been disappointed at the lack of realism.

Lord, I was around when they had a real team, that lot would chew the current one up for breakfast and spit them out, the only one that would get near the team is VJ. Garrincha, Socretes, Jazhino, Pele etc, they'd make mincemeat of them. So if by any chance this lot get anywhere near winning the trophy, those who are much too young to have seen that generation will know just how great they were. I'm not Brazilian by the way, just a fan of great players being allowed to fully express themselves by managers who don't stick to rule books!
