Last 2 years they've been released on 16th July,
That's about 4 weeks before the start of the season, but the start is later this year.
I can't see too much changing, other than a price increase probably (you've got to maximise the Premier League revenue....probably).
The main benefit is away tickets of course. They might play with that in some way. If you're a season ticket holder wanting to do the odd away you're only chance is the ballot, so I expect many will just not bother and save £35. I know a few didn't bother last season.
As a non-ST holder who goes to most away games (3 missed in 3 seasons) I'd be slightly irritated if they changed the rules. I'm expecting a price hike. Also expecting a price hike on matchday tickets (where prices are rising akin to South American country inflation rates) |  |
