A lot. The new rules cap squad spending (salaries, agent fees and net transfer fees - with purchases spread over the length of contract) at 85% of Revenue. Clubs like United & Liverpool turnover 4 times what we do, so their annual squad cost can be about £600m vs. ours at more like £150m.
Recently promoted clubs do receive some special provisions to 'catch up', but still dwarfed by the bigger boys.
I don't resent it tbh, the big clubs invest a lot in their global brands, why shouldn't they be allowed to spend more. |  | | |

A lot for sure, but they're also hamstrung by previous transfer dealings whereas we've built from basically scratch over the last three years.
Think of it like we've come in with no debt, whilst the other clubs were already highly geared- we've got a lot of free reign to allocate costs over the next 3-5 years, whereas the established prem clubs will have loads of transfer fees to amortise for that period already locked in. |  |

Man City of raised 100's of millions through player sales so have huge headroom. This is where established clubs can generate far more revenue than us which means they have so much more to spend. |  | | |
