Well, proud will probably be the word for most town fans today
It's hard not to feel that
So looking back at the 90 minutes it's a mixture of excellent, the poor and the frustrating
We did so well with our game plan first half, but out ball retention just wasn't great, 2nd half, change of shape, higher up the pitch and we did really well although didn't hurt them enough
Walton, a mix of excellent saves, yet should have done better with the goals imo
florentino, i felt was terrible out of the lineup, on the floor, not tracking runners, couldn't find team mates, I Felt a bit of relief when he was subbed.
Julio, i didn't feel we got enough out of until we changed it up 2nd half and he was more involved.
Emmerson linked play well at times, perhaps should have scored too
But overall that was a bloody good effort and another sign which i think shows we are very capable of staying up this season. If you have put in 80% of today into other games, you're gonna win more than you lose.
It was great seeing Azor back, although it was quite evident how different technically he is to our summer signings.
All in all, very positive with a few grrrss mixed in. | |
