Struck by how the profiles of these potential Communist party leaders (and therefore probably leaders of the most powerful nation unless the USA can do something dramatic to halt the Trump decline) look like typical company men, all men note. Suited, tie wearing and the word 'youth' must lose something in the transliteration - one became leader of the Communist Youth League at the age of 43, and the eldest is from the Youth wing of the party!

The US still has 170% the GDP of China and a much smaller population to pay for. It's going to be a while yet before China overtakes them although they almost certainly will.
Trump will have done well to erode that over the next couple of years.
It will be interesting to see how China deals with the problems of development, specifically things like massive private debt, male slanted demographics and pulling people out of poverty and into the middle class whilst still being able to afford to do that.

They tried to impeach the last president who actually ran the country properly and within it's means.
Makes it even more incredible they can't do anything to Trump.
