Take note, all who disputed the £350m figure.

Seems to be a 'don't pay your rent, you won't get your deposit back' kind of deal. Can't really blame them if they are thinking that when we have senior Brexiteers saying we shouldn't pay anything or that we shouldn't pay a penny more than the £20bn they might not get what they are owed.

Truly impaired.

But we don't owe them rent, legally we owe nothing. Both sides need to agree whether payments are needed for each agreement, in either direction. As a net contributor to the EU, we would expect money back overall.

"Legally we owe nothing".

Only if one willfully ignores previous treaty commitments.

The EU position was clearly set out at the start of this year, it is possible to disagree or blame it for intransigence but there is a clear position to work to. Contrast that with a British Government where senior ministers repeatedly contradict themselves let alone each other.

Agree that the British approach has been poor. But once we leave the EU, we are not bound by their law and will not be obliged to pay (or receive) anything.

There are only two possible outcomes. We will remain in the EU come April 2019 or what I've always thought, remain in the EEA. It's amazing how the government hasn't considered the EEA seriously.

That’s not what the brexiteers want though.

A £4.46bn one-off is less than £350m every week for the foreseeable future, how unlike you not to get your story straight from the start...

If only I had said that, then you'd have a point.

And even though you didn't say exactly that I still have a point and you will still try and evade it.

My story is perfectly straight, but thanks for asking.
