Today is Seb’s birthday.
MrsN and I went down to the Jaguar factory yesterday and were at the Jaguar Breakfast Club this morning. Then got back up home for Seb’s birthday party at his Mam’s house. Now we are watching a movie before bed.
Seb is looking forward to riding his new bike tomorrow morning.... I won’t be able to run after him as I have pinched the meniscus in my knee, which is giving me bother.
So if he falls, he will have to do it near me or man up.

One summer, I spent an afternoon off down my local. I rode my [push] bike down there.
9 pints later I decided to call it a day and went home.
The landlady had popped out the back for something and came back into the bar and asked where I was. Someone said I'd left.
She said, apparently, 'please tell me he didn't try to take his bike...'
I went over the handlebars on the way home, my knee was swollen and black for a week, my face all scraped.
Some bloke saw it happen and came running up the street, but he had a mixture of concern and laughter at the same time.
He actually had bubbles of snot from his nose where he was trying so hard to keep it in when asking if I was ok.
Even a couple of passing school kids didn't have the heart to take the piss and were actually concerned!

I got more genuine concern from the kids as, I suppose at that point, I was more their level of understanding.
