Most artists get a bit mellower as they age. They might experiment, occasionally hit something great but generally they lose a bit of edge no matter how hard they try.
Ms Apple gets weirder and fiercer with every album. Its going to take a while to settle in - but my god its raw and visceral in places. Whilst still being musical and creative.
If its not your thing- atleast whizz on to about 3m45s and experience the frayed edges of an extraordinarily talented musician who is just letting it all out....

The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it.

Well- Fiona Apple has cheered up the monotony of staying at home on 21:21 - Apr 20 by sparks
Just found this very very very fine session of a young Fiona.
She has average an album every 5 years in her 25 year career. Mad as a box of frogs. But breathtakingly raw and talented. Lyrics, vocals, writing and playing.
