Terrible day. Mrs Bloom was on the tube train behind the Aldgate one when the bomb went off not that she knew at the time it was a bomb, had to get off the train and walk along the tunnel to the station. Was covered in black soot/dust when she eventually got home so was very lucky and not even a scratch we still have her jacket from that day she has refused to throw it away or wash it

....that day and I was at my office on Liverpool Street.

All communications were down and we couldn't contact each other.

It was a grim old day that still haunts me.

When I finally spoke to her she'd been making and delivering refreshments to the rescue services.

So many of us were lucky that day, but too many were unlucky.

RIP

Was quite close to Edgeware Road station, running an errand, at 08:30 leaving the area just before 08:45, by the time I got to my office the RDS on the car stereo was blocking out the CD with travel info / news.

One of my Chauffeurs was in Tavistock Square and was commandeered by the police to take a pair of walking wounded to hospital, leaving lots of blood on his beige leather seats.

Some horrible scenes that day and then the failed copy cat attach on July 21st, the fear in London then was worse than when we had the IRA bombings
