Anthony Taylor is going to referee his second FA Cup Final, the first referee to do so since 1901. The reason? The FA didn't want the referee taking charge of his one and only final, possibly a career highlight, to do so without their family and friends there. If that's genuinely the reason, it's an astonishingly decent thing to do given that you'd expect them to normally just appoint a new ref and have him miss out on so much of the normal experience. Fair play. | |
