He has done enough to suggest he will start Sunday and the pressure is on for him to claim a regular starting spot. I personally hope he will continue to grow throughout the season and prove you don't need to chuck money at journeymen frauds like Will Keane (who will no doubt bag a brace against us)

Trying to get a two out of Jackson, Norwood and Keane was always going to create issues. Not least that none of them are target men. Although Drinan looks more versatile with his pace and movement, and I think he'll certainly benefit from the three-man attack if that's what we're sticking to.

Possibly but Keane is a bit of an enigma. At 27 he has done sod all to get any of the plaudits he gets from some and has zero consistency - also, my nan could've advised Lambert that he would most of the campaign through injury. I know Jackson wouldn't accept it but I think he could be devastating in one of the wide roles of the front three.

Neither Norwood or Hawkins have played any significant time in pre-season and both are on catch up. Sends them a message too. I'm going to throw Chambers into the mix too at RB. I really doubted his selection there for the game against BR, but he came through and had a solid game, although he was largely untested. KVY still seems to be recovering from a niggling injury, so why risk him to be out long term? Chambers played well, keep him in. [Post edited 7 Sep 2020 12:58]

I agree but he's been an enigma at a higher level. Just like with many of our other players and the team as a whole, Lambert's failing was not getting a tune out of them in League One. Not sure Jackson would have a problem accepting the wide forward role. I thought he was far and away our most threatening attacking player last season and it was almost always by using the channels and space to run into rather than playing through the middle. And maybe with three forwards creating space he can also come inside more often too. He rarely looked comfortable doing that last year.
