I got it working on my iPad last week but couldn't see an option to cast to it tv?
I tried loading it through smart tv web browser but it just didnt start to stream.
Is it possible?

If you have a Chromecast it's possible, you just cast the tab in Chrome to the Chromecast connected to the TV.
Another option is an HDMI output from a laptop.
Unfortunately I am not sure about iPad specific solutions.

Although iPad (or phone) to TV via HDMI always results in no audio. Yet laptop to TV works just fine.
