Indeed. Always good to attack the ruling ideology that, of course, dares not speak in those terms to the electorate. Leaves a bittersweet taste though. Firstly imagining what we might have avoided and indeed saved if Miliband had a less self-interested, more neutral and objective media to talk to up to 2015. And secondly why Labour haven’t been pushing on a united front throughout the last decade to speak truth to power and address the unbalanced economy and its inequalities – even if that involves taking some of the blame for New Labour’s failings. Missing that opportunity and indeed responsibility has left them playing catch up. When they’re not already being outflanked by national/regional parties, minority groups, green organisations or sleepwalking us into Brexit. |  |
