Paul Cook article in Football League paper 09:57 - Feb 28 with 760 viewsFarmerpiles

...in Chris Dunlavy column. Sorry not techie enough to show whole article. But gives his stats of 3 promotions and career win rate of 43% over 671 matches. He was interviewed by Bristol City when Johnson was sacked but 'did not fit the clubs culture' according to reporters briefed by City hierarchy. It seems he wanted to have more control then the owners were willing to give him. Asked by Talksport why he had not accepted (a disputed) offer by Sheff Wed Cook said "If you want to manage one of these good clubs you have to be allowed to manage. If your not going to be allowed to manage, your an employee and not a manager."
He seems to fit ME's blueprint of a manager in overall charge of the club, but would new owners want that, or just a coach?
