Drinan is never ever going to be the answer, that much is clear.

Hawkins has the turning circle of a cruise ship though. Not sure he's the answer.

He’s nearly always offside as well. We can barely keep the ball as it is we don’t need to be giving them the ball back with a cheap free kick every time we lump it aimlessly forward.

I don't think any particular player coming into the team is going to make much difference, really. Our problems are systemic.

We are desperate for a goalscorer , how the heck did we get a group of strikers that don't score .

Apart from Norwood how many goals have our main strikers got ?

It's not really about the strikers when we create as little as we do though is it?

The very fact people are talking about Hawkins as ''the answer'' just shows how far we've sunk as a club.

I've found he is just about the only one who can hold the ball up. Doesnt need to have a short turning circle to hold the ball. With three forward midfielders behind him they should benefit from the play offs that he could provide...if they were quick enough...which is a massive problem for us at the moment. I would put Jackson iin the no. 10 position as at least he has some pace to be able to benefit from Hawkins hold up play.

Crumbs. If you're talking about being caught offside take a look at Norwood...hes always hanging around and not getting to time his runs properly. And at least he can head the ball...but no one in midfield is quick enough to benefit from it.

We haven't got any real strikers have we. Lets face it , none of them could hit a barn door with a banjo from 2 foot.
