I was obviously delighted it led to the goal but if you are a defence and that exact thing happened a moment before wouldn't you look to stop it. The ramblings of a bored man in rainy Leeds.

Reminded me of an Ipswich game . Last game of season at home to Wimbledon back in 2003.. We were already down 1-4 and they were running down the clock and took the ball into the corner flag. Town were so disinterested in trying to get the ball they crossed and scored a fifth. One of too many abysmal town performances over past 20 years. Sad how many games such as this stick in your memory for the wrong reasons.

Gareth Bale on 10:27 - Jun 17 with 470 views | Swansea_Blue | The Turks seemed to have memories of goldfish. Falling for it once is bad enough, but twice? They're a poor, poor side. Edit - just to add. The pleasing thing about that (and their approach in the second half in general) is they didn't just settle for the 1-0. A lot of teams would be happy to just kill the game at one nil and try and keep the ball in the corner, inevitably losing it 8 seconds later. [Post edited 17 Jun 2021 10:36]
