Coming home, coming home, Pendejo's coming home 20:03 - Jun 29 with 310 viewsPendejo

Our MD decreed the match would be on the numerous widescreen TVs that are usually displaying various stats concerning the working day... but didn't actually come in.

Staff were given the opportunity to take short lunch breaks to go home early and, other than me, the biggest football fan at work had organised a doctor's appointment for 17:20... But as he's Scottish I'm sure he felt he was missing an opportunity to mock.

My boss, not a football fan stayed behind to watch the first half, as did a colleague ( Surrey born and bred) who is a Manure fan. My boss insisted I make a prediction, which I hate doing... I'd refused to all day, but under pressure I blurted out a scoreline.
We watched the first half then thinking the roads will be clear set off home. Me with the longest commute.

I did think of dropping into a pub but those with parking clearly weren't showing football, those that were had little or no parking.

The quickest I've got home from work is 50 minutes, so 2nd half would be via 5live. Waddle getting ever more frustrated with Sterling...

Just as I turned from South Norwood Hill towards Crystal Palace, some chap called Sterling did what he's been doing in this tournament, he scored. I went a bit mad and bounced up and down in my car punching the roof lining. After passing the Crystal Palace transmitters I missed Sydenham Hill and down toward The Horniman Museum, by now windows open commentary up loud, Citizen Kane got in on the scoring, due bouncing around the car again and arms waving around. Don't care what those in front of behind thought...

On arriving at home I watched the last 5 mins on the BBC app, my teams chat pinged with a message telling me I should have put money on it. For the first time EVER I had got it spot on.

Whilst no doubt it was still frustrating at times this team have done what few others have ever done. Won a knock out game at the Euros.

Well played chaps.

Why only watch the first half and then head home knowing you will miss all of 2nd half...I don't get it.

Could you not stay and watch and then leave for home?
