Credit for some good calls yesterday:
Bringing Janoi Donacien in, made a huge difference defensively having a good one-on-one defender against their best attacker.
Tom Carroll coming in for Harper, again, we needed that change. Really like the way he makes angles and space for himself off the ball.
Having Fraser drop a bit deeper, really helped us build play I thought.
Sub 1: When Coulson pulled up the commentators were talking about Donacien going left back, so Woolfenden could play right back, but absolutely the right call to leave him right where he was.
Sub 2: We pushed Rekeem into that position when Carroll came on at Mk Dons and it didn't work at all, but this time he seemed much more prepared, aware where to run and where to press. Thought it made the last half hour much more comfortable than it was initially going to be, both because he was an outlet and because he made their build-up harder. |  |
